2023 Block of the Month 

“A QUILTING LIFE MYSTERY BLOCK OF THE MONTH 2023”

For the 2023 Block of the Month we will be following along with Sherri of A Quilting Life.  Her introductory blog post can be found here,  On the 1st Monday of each month she will release the new block pattern, and finishing instructions in Dec.  There will be options for 12" and 6" finished blocks, so decide what size quilt you'd like to make now.  Or, you can make some of both, and Sherri will show you how to put it together.

 

This is a little different than our normal BOM, where members sign-up and instructions are emailed directly to them.  My idea was to introduce guild members to a designer/quilter new to them, but in order not to violate copyright laws I can only give you the link, not the pdf itself.  There is no online registration required.  These block patterns are FREE.  There are a ton of quilters running BOMs online every year, and I chose Sherri of A Quilting Life because I've enjoyed her previous year's BOMs, and thought her style would appeal to a large range of members.

 

Sign up, and each month you will receive an email from me with a link to the new block instructions.  The blog posts will also be linked below.  Follow the link to Sherri's blog post, and you can download the pdf of the block instructions.  It's a BIG COLORED BUBBLE and you can't miss it.  She also provides a video with step-by-step instructions which is really helpful.

 

We will have examples of the current months block at each guild meeting, and you may continue to sign-up throughout the year if you decide to join.  Sherri keeps the individual months patterns available for free until the end of the year.  If you return a photo of your completed block by the end of the month, or bring it to the guild meeting, you will be entered into a monthly drawing for a prize.
